Athlete's Foot Instructions
By Dr. Gary Prant, D.P.M., F.A.C.F.A.S.
- Keep feet dry as possible: cotton blend socks and leather shoes or
sandals are recommended.
- Use powder on feet and in shoes. Zeasorb is a good powder.
- After bathing, dry your feet with a hair dryer—so they are perfectly
dry. This is very important.
- Medication should be rubbed into your skin very well. It is more important
that you rub the medicine well than apply a lot of it. Applying the
medicine three times a day at first may help.
- If you do not see some improvement in four to five days, please call
me. Remember this problem often recurs in those people who are prone
to it. Be on the alert for early signs of athlete’s foot and use these
hints to prevent future flare-ups.
